Children’s and Student Ministries

Our growing children’s and student ministries serve 160+ weekly, yet limited space prevents age-appropriate groups and meaningful small-group discipleship.

Families & Adults

• Limited space to disciple the whole church family together.

• Lack of designated staff space for counseling and ministry care.

Throughout this campaign, we have anchored our hearts in the words of Ephesians 3:20–21: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations.”

We believe God is the One who builds His church. He is the One who transforms lives. He is the One who carries His glory through generations. And yet, in His kindness, He invites us to participate.

This discipleship building is not about bricks and walls. It is about creating space for deeper and more effective discipleship, where His power can continue to work in and through His people for generations to come.

Why are we launching this building campaign now?

God has faithfully grown Statesboro Worship, particularly among children, students, and families. While we are grateful for our current space, it no longer adequately supports the depth of discipleship God is calling us to pursue. This campaign allows us to steward what God is already doing and prepare faithfully for what He will continue to do, rather than reacting once growth becomes unmanageable.


Is this campaign really about a building?

No. We are not asking people to fund a building. We are inviting them to invest in a Godly legacy. The building is not the legacy; the disciples made inside it are. The building is simply a vessel God can use to support discipleship for generations to come.

How does this campaign reflect biblical stewardship?

Guided by Ephesians 3:20–21, we believe God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. Stewardship means preparing faithfully for that truth and aligning our resources with God’s mission for His church.


What specifically will be inside the new building?

The new building is designed as a discipleship-focused ministry space serving every generation of our church family. It will include dedicated children’s ministry space, designated student ministry space, classrooms for adult discipleship, and office space for staff.


How does this building impact Children’s Ministry?

We currently average around 90 children on Wednesday nights, but lack adequate space to break them into age-appropriate groups. Developmental differences make effective discipleship challenging without proper space. Dedicated classrooms allow children to learn, grow, and engage with God’s Word in ways that fit their stage of development.


How does this building impact Student Ministry?

Around 70 students gather weekly, but we do not have enough closed-off or designated spaces for small groups. Teenagers need safe, appropriately private environments to share honestly about the real-life struggles they face. Proper space allows students to grow deeper in their faith, move beyond surface-level discussion, and establish strong spiritual roots.


Why is designated ministry space important for children and students?

Children and students need more than classrooms; they need a place to belong. Designated ministry spaces help young people feel known, loved, and welcomed. These environments foster relationships, encourage Gospel conversations, and create opportunities for life change that can impact generations.


How does this building support families and adults?

Currently, space limitations require kids’ and student ministries to meet at separate times, which can be challenging for families. We also lack space for adult Bible study while children and students meet. Additional space allows the entire church—children, students, and adults—to be discipled together.


Why is staff office space included in the building plan?

Our staff currently does not have designated office or meeting space, which limits organization and pastoral care. Providing office space is not about administration, it is about shepherding well. These spaces allow for private counseling, discipleship conversations, prayer, and planning that strengthen the spiritual health of the whole church.


Have other options been considered?

Yes. We have worked diligently to be creative with our existing space, and God has blessed those efforts. However, growth has reached a point where creativity alone cannot sustain current ministries or prepare for future growth.


How should I decide how to participate?

We encourage each person to pray, seek God’s wisdom, and listen for His leading. Participation looks different for everyone, but every prayer and every act of obedience matters as we pursue a Godly legacy together. Please see the next page for specific ways you can partner with us.

At our offering table, we have forms you may use to give a donation toward the building campaign as a one-time or incremental gift.
